The Disy Magazine has been online for over 10 years. We took over a TYPO3 installation of version 4.5 LTS from a predecessor agency and updated it to the current TYPO3 CMS LTS version 10 without any loss of the more than 10,000 articles. In doing so, we went through several intermediate steps with various migration scripts to adapt the content to current technical standards. The TYPO3 installation also included some extension developments for e.g. teaser list generation, image galleries, subscription management and more. We brought these in-house developments technically up to date so that the content they contain can still be displayed and changed.

The website then got a completely new responsive front end and also new functions such as an Instagram feed import, with which the various Instagram channels of the magazine can be automatically imported and presented together with the editorial CMS content. There is also a new system for surveys on the magazine's home pages.

Online advertising, which was previously controlled via a very old EXT:sf_banners version, has also been retained while retaining all functions and content.

With now modern technology and a beautiful new Responsive Layout, especially the many high-quality photos of the articles come into their own much better and also the SEO rank of the site will improve by using the new SEO possibilities of the TYPO3 CMS.
