As an information system for the car retail trade, Dello offers insight into its stock of new and used cars exclusively for middlemen. This enables them to access a very large database of cars in stock when their own stock is not sufficient to meet customer requirements.

As this application is not public and only exclusive for car intermediaries registered in the commercial register, there is a login for registered users. Therefore, security and usability were the main focus of this project. Technologically, this web application was created with the script language php and the database mySQL using php-sessions for user authentication. The application offers a lot of functionality tailored to the needs of car intermediaries, such as the printing of one car as an offer or several cars as a list, as well as data export options for data transfer into own applications.
For Dello, this system also provides completely new opportunities for Customer Relationship Management (CRM). In the administration area of the web portal, for example, there is the additional option of compiling offers of cars via the user database and to mail them to the user addresses in the database or even fax them via the web server. For the mailing, it is also possible to compile car lists, which are converted on the server into a designed PDF file before being sent by e-mail. In addition, there is also the possibility to freely design offers using a rich text editor.
