MB Energy, based in Hamburg, is a leading international energy trading company. In the course of a comprehensive brand rebranding, the traditional company Mabanaft evolved into MB Energy - a step that visualises the strategic realignment and the clear focus on future viability, sustainability and innovative energy solutions. This was not just about developing a new visual identity, but about a holistic transformation process that repositioned the company in all its facets.
A central component of this process was the creation of a digital brand identity that reflects both the international relevance and innovative strength of MB Energy. The high-quality web design was created by the renowned Peter Schmidt Group which has many years of experience in supporting complex rebranding projects for major brands. Their expertise resulted in a modern, visually concise design that expresses the new brand values and fulfils the highest standards of aesthetics and user-friendliness. The design also emphasised current topics such as accessibility in order to comply with the latest legal guidelines.
For us as a TYPO3 agency, the realisation of this project posed a particular challenge: the consistent transfer of the new brand identity into a high-performance, flexible and technically sophisticated web system. The close integration of strategic branding, creative design and robust technology makes this project a good example of successful digital brand management.
As part of the technical implementation, several existing, separate TYPO3 systems were consolidated into one central system in a complex content migration. Within this new platform, various websites were brought together under one roof and at the same time future-proof multilingualism was implemented in order to optimally reflect MB Energy's international orientation. A powerful search function ensures quick and intuitive orientation in the extensive content. The responsive implementation of the new design was particularly challenging, given the premise of transferring the large amount of existing content to the new look in a structured and consistent manner. The project also included a blog, news and press section, media centre, glossary and many more complex content modules.
In addition, a flexible technical basis was created in the current TYPO3 version 13, which will make it possible to seamlessly integrate further country websites and additional brands of the MB Energy Group in the future. The platform is therefore not only a milestone in the current rebranding process, but also a sustainable long-term solution that optimally supports growth, internationalisation and brand diversity.
